Adams & Sons Ltd is a family run company with an enviable record of service going back more than 50 years. We pride our selves on the fact that a huge percentage of our customers have been with us for many years and come to us for all their motoring needs.
Verney Wood Jnr Joined the business in 1999 and took over as managing Director from his farther Verney Wood Snr in 2007. Senior is still very active in the business and helps keep everyone on their toes!
“When my Grandfather took over Adams & Sons Ltd in the early 50’s he decided to maintain the original name as the company had been on the site for many years and was well known,” explains Verney Wood Jnr. “whilst we are proud of our working history, the company has always moved with the times to ensure that we can offer the best possible service. For instance our qualified technicians operate the latest diagnostic equipment when servicing and repairing customer vehicles.”
Verney Wood Snr adds “We are sensitive to the fact that many people are not comfortable walking in to a car dealership, whether for servicing or to buy a car. That’s a shame because buying a car should be a pleasure. At Adams & Sons we try our very best to make the customer feel at home and relaxed in the knowledge we are looking after them. Customers are treated with respect and in a friendly manner. Most importantly we never want our customers to feel pressurised in to buying. Our reputation is everything.”
Our service centre offer the same values. After Sales manager Keith Astley, “Our main role is to ensure that the cars in our care are maintained to a high standard but of course we must never forget the owners! I don’t always have the best of news to tell our customers but its much easier when I know that they respect the professionalism of my team and myself.
